 Ritalin® is the first attention deficit (AD) patch approved by FDA. This patch was developed by U.K.-based Shire Pharmaceuticals Group PLC with Noven Pharmaceuticals, the maker of the ADHD drug Daytrana™.
Methylphenidate, the stimulant contained in the recently approved transdermal patch for ADHD Daytrana™, is the same stimulant that is in Ritalin®.
