
Toronto-based firm Amorfix Life Sciences Ltd. (AMF) collaborates with US biopharmaceutical company, Biogen Idec (BIIB), to develop and commercialize drugs for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a neurodegenerative condition also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Biogen Idec will buy 289,187 Amorfix common shares at $1.46 each, for a total of $375,000, plus options to buy more shares. If the option is exercised, Biogen Idec would be responsible for completing preclinical and clinical development, regulatory approvals, manufacturing and commercialization of any new drugs.
