
A biotechnology company developing chemokine-based therapies for the treatment of cancer, blood disorders and vascular diseases, Chemokine Therapeutics (TSE: CTI) has been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office a U.S. Patent 7,091,310 B2. The said patent is relating to chemokine analogs for the treatment of human disease.
Covered in the said patent are chemokine analogs (peptide agonists and antagonists of chemokines) with potential treatment capabilities in various diseases and disorders, and as an adjunct treatment of the following: autoimmune diseases, acute chronic inflammation, cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease and inflammatory disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, chronic inflammatory bowel disease) chronic inflammatory pelvic disease, multiple sclerosis, asthma, osteoarthritis, atherosclerosis, psoriasis, rhinitis, autoimmunity and organ transplant rejection.
