Filling the business headlines today is the 11 million bottles (or 383 lots) of Perrigo Co. (Nasadaq: PRGO)’s acetaminophen bottles being recalled due to metals fragments that contaminated some of the caplets in the said bottles.
From NY Times:
The manufacturer, Perrigo, said it discovered the metal bits during quality control checks. There have been no reports of injuries or illnesses cause by the problem, which affects bottles of various sizes containing 500-milligram caplets.
Whoa! 11 million bottles is a LOT of money.
Every pharma company’s quality control section should really be extra careful. Something like this is ALWAYS your fault.
