
Lux Biosciences – a partner of Isotechnika Inc. (TSE: ISA) – has received orphan drug designation from the USFDA for its product ISA247 (LX211) for the treatment of non-infectious posterior, intermediate and pan-uveitis.
Uveitis is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the eye, an often under-diagnosed and under-recognized medical condition that causes vision impairment, ocular pain, and loss of vision.
According to Ulrich Grau, President and CEO of Lux Biosciences:
