
A member of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, The Institute of Materia Media (IMM) have entered into a joint research partnership with the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development (TB Alliance) to develop promising, novel anti-tuberculosis drugs.
The said alliance wil focus on the desin, synthesis and evaluation of riminophenazines (a class of anti-TB compounds discovered in the 1950s) and do deliver compounds from this class without the side effects.
