CSL Biotherapies is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of influenza vaccine.
The company would like to penetrate the American market and so has recently submitted a Biologics License Application (BLA) to the USFDA, seeking approval of its influenza vaccine for immunization of individuals aged 18 years and above, which when approved will be made into both a single-dose, thimerosal-free, pre-filled syringe and in multi-dose vials.
According to Paul Perreault, Executive Vice President of CSL Biotherapies Worldwide Commercial Operations:
