You’ve probably noticed that my last post in this blog was dated April 27. That’s because I took my real vacation in a long time, with my 4-year old my son and two oldest girl friends.
First, we went to the nearest nicest beach and then hopped to a nearby island for a close encounter with whalesharks.
The experience was something one will never forget, I just hope my son’s young mind can recall it in his adulthood.
If he doesn’t, well we could always go back when he’s a bit older. ;-)
Adding to the spectacle of this past weekend is the grand showing of Spiderman 3 (here in the Philippines as well!) on May 1 (National Labor Day).
I would like to mention that my son is just ga-ga over spiderman since he was barely a year old.
Spiderman-2 was his first movie theatre experience (at age 2).
I bought him CDs of the movie's parts 1 and 2 and they’ve been the most watched CDs in our home – because of my son.
Peter Parker, MJ Watson, Harry and Norman Osborn, Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus are the first few names he was able to pronounce completely – even more clearly than he can pronounce our own names.
Therefore, we are all looking forward to watching Spiderman 3 in movie theatres.
Unfortunately, the nearest city from where we are shows new movies a few days after or within a week of showing in Manila (my country’s capital).
Hopefully next weekend, we can go see it already.
My son keeps on bugging me, especially that the trailer is being shown these days on our local TV channels.
Although, I am little worried that Spiderman will turn “bad and black” in the movie, I may have a hard time explaining to a 4-year-old why.
Spiderman is something that will be imbedded in my son's young mind. He may forget about the whaleshark experience as he grows up, but Spiderman will never be forgotten. Of that I am pretty sure.
