USFDA Awarded Orphan Drug Grant to Expression Genetics, Inc. for Clinical Development of EGEN-001 for Ovarian Cancer Treatment
The USFDA has awarded a three-year grant of $1,050,000 to Expression Genetics, Inc. in order to assist in the clinical development of EGEN-001, the company's lead oncology product.
In 2005, EGEN-001 has been given Orphan Drug Status by the USFDA is currently being developed for the treatment of advanced recurrent ovarian cancer.
According to Dr. Danny H. Lewis, CEO of Expression Genetics:
