Interview with Novartis CEO - Daniel L. Vasella

NovartisIn a recent interview with The New York Time, Novartis Pharmaceuticals CWO Daniel L. Vasella stated that though Americans have made progress in curing some diseases, the U.S is still facing a serious increase in obesity and aging-related diseases.

Vasella criticized the U.S Food and Drug Administration for what he sees as its failure to act more quickly when approving new drugs. He also offers his opinion on a variety of topics in the interview including: American efforts at health care reform, the potential grow of Alzheimer’s and American’s complaints about the cost of drugs.
