Phillip's unveiled its Cliniscape "Mobile Clinical Assistant", a tablet PC designed specifically for the medical community.
Featuring a 10.4-inch pen touch screen, custom installation of Vista Business, a Core Sole processor with 1GB of RAM, 60GB disk, RFID and Bluetooth radios, barcode scanner, 2 megapixel camera, 3.5-hour battery life and a single USB port. The tablet casing is medical grade, can be wiped clean with disinfectant and can withstand a drop of 1 meter. The tablet can be docked with the "grab and go" base station and used as a desktop computer with 3 additional USB ports and Enternet jack. The unit is lightweight at 1.6 kg. and has a backside handgrip to minimize fatigue.
Once the software catches up with the gadget, this should be a useful tool for nurses and doctors. Let's hope they have more interest and use for a tablet pc than the general public did.

I am a PR specialist and came across your blog about pharmaceutical business solutions. I wanted to propose a possible blog entry about how Internet marketing for patient recruitment is driving down clinical costs, according to Experian Research Services. Experian Research Services explains how: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/10/prweb564664.htm. If you’d like original files, or if I can do anything to help, please feel free to e-mail.
