Seems a lot of Americans are ending their work week today so as to be able to travel to visit friends and family. I'd like to wish all of you celebrating the holiday to have a safe and happy one.
I'd previously posted about how Canadian Thanksgiving is not the event that it is in the US. That I'm posting this on a Wednesday backs that up, lol. We get a day off, stuff our faces and groan our way back to work with a week's worth of turkey sandwiches as our lunches. There's no 5-6 day weekend for us.
This is also the week that totally annoys us Canadians. We can be found yelling at our tv sets over the insane US commercials. My torment this year is Best Buy's Black Friday sales commercial. $229 US for a laptop. SCREAM. I realize it's only 20 per store and that I'd be probably standing in line already instead of writing this but... $229. For my daughter it's the digital camera and for my friend it's the tv the size of a house. All at prices that, to us, are incredible and thus elicit significant amounts of jealousy.
I guess we just have to content ourselves with the fact that we had our turkey and all the trimmings over a month ago and that we've only got a month left until we do it all over again at Christmas.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Don't be too jealous over the Black Friday thing, Mr. Lewis. It's not all it's cracked up to be. In fact, it's dangerous. Have you ever been elbowed in the teeth by a 60 year old woman over a Ticke Me Elmo doll?
. . . it's embarrassing.
