Amgen

Amgen managed a 9th place sport in top R&D research spending and a 14th place spot for sales in 2006. Not an overly good year for the company as it had to deal with the fallout from the increased box warning from the FDA on Aranesp and Epogen, drugs for anemia. Amgen has 17 different drug in various phases with several in multiple phases for various indications.

Denosumab - Prevention of cancer-related bone damage
Denosumab - Prevention of bone metastases
Cinacalcet HCI - Cardiovascular disease in patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism and chronic kidney disease undergoing maintenance dialysis
