Stock Market Fluctuations in Big Pharmas as of Dec 21, 2007

Company Name, Symbol, Share Price, Change

While pharma climbed a bit today overall the week was a downward one. Hardest hit was Novartis with a decline of $3.36 followed by AstraZeneca with a decrease of $2.87 and GlaxoSmithKline with a decrease of $2.36.

Novartis announced today that it will be joining other big pharmas, like Pfizer, in cutting jobs. Estimates place the job losses at 2,500.
